Captain Roger Thomas was born and raised in Port St. Joe, Florida. For as long as he can remember, he’s been fishing, hunting, and exploring the
woods and waters of Gulf County, a tradition passed down by his father. His lifetime of experience ensures the safety and comfort of you and your
family. On your charter with Southern Tide, he’ll share his passion for real Florida, his knowledge of how to catch the big one, and his southern
hospitality on an adventure that you’ll never forget. Fishing Charters Available
St. Joe Bay, Apalachicola Bay,Wimico or Apalachicola River
Flats or Trolling - St Joe Bay and Apalachicola Bay offer some
of the best fishing in the south! While fishing St. Joe and
Apalachicola Bays, you’ll have the opportunity to catch Trout,
Redfish, Tarpon, Mackerel, Triple Tail, or Cobia. Captain Roger
knows where to find ‘em and how to catch ‘em.
Lake Wimico - Lake Wimico is a wild area of florida bordered on
all sides by swamps and backwaters and it’s only accessible by
boat via the Apalachicola River, Depot Creek or the Intercoastal
Waterway. It’s a popular bass fishing destination and location for
several bass tournaments every year. Whether you want to land
that big bass or take the kids for some fun catching bream and
shellcracker, Lake Wimico is a perfect location!
Apalachicola River - The Apalachicola River basin is one of the
richest areas of wildlife and fishing in the world. You’ll have the
chance to catch Largemouth Bass, Bream and Shellcracker and
may see interesting wildlife like the great Blue Heron, Osprey,
Bald Eagle, Alligators and Otters.
