Must have a saltwater fishing license to harvest scallops.

Individuals who recreationally harvest must do so using a dive flag,(all Seahorse Rental Boats have dive flags). The dive flag must be prominently displayed and the diver must stay within close proximity of the flag.

The daily bag limit is restricted to two gallons of whole unshucked scallops or one pint of meat per person per day. There is a limit of 10 gallons of unshucked scallops per vessel per day and the must be 10 people on the vessel.

Reply Posted: 09/04/08 My family recently went on one of Seahorse's scallop trips. There were five us including my 7 year old son. We were worried that he would have trouble with scalloping at such a young age but it was a fantastic experience. The boat and equipment were all in excellent condition and the crew was extremely helpful. While we didn't find many scallops the trip was very enjoyable and something we are playing to repeat next year.

Reply Posted: 09/04/08 My wife and I are seasoned scallopers and try to go a few times very season. We hopped on one of these trips after eating at the Marina restaurant. Nice boat and friendly captain & mates. We got our quota of scallops and will be returning next year if we are in the area again.

Reply Posted: 09/04/08 There were 10 of us on this trip and we all had a wonderful time...even the ones who stayed on the boat. Trip back was a little wet but the crew handled it well and were all very friendly.
